Mission Statement

What is Main Street? The Main Street Program is a non-profit corporation designed to revitalize and maintain the downtown courthouse square area of Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. It is affiliated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation's National Main Street Center and follows the tenants of that program. The Main Street Program capitalized on the unique character of the courthouse square and the surrounding business district with the goal of transforming it into the cultural, social, professional and retail center of Rutherford County...in essence, the hub of the community life.

Description

Join us May 5th and 6th for another weekend of warm fun and cool contemporary jazz featuring family entertainment including unique vendors, delicious food and great music! This year's talent lineup includes The Phil Woods Quintet, U.S. Army Ground Forces Jazz Guardians, Roger Humphries and the MTSU All Stars, Rahsaan Barber and TrioSoul featuring Moe Denham and Robert Bond, Annie Sellick, MTSU Jazz Ensemble I, and The Rutherford All-County Jazz Band.

Main Street JazzFest is more than just a concert, it's an event! It's a place to people-watch, eat, drink, shop, mingle, relax, soak in the rays, and of course, hear some of the best in contemporary live jazz. Admission to JazzFest is free, and all are welcome. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at Main Street JazzFest 2006!
