Mission Statement

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses throughout New Jersey.

Description

Our mission reflects the life-changing impact that a wish has on children, families, referral sources, donors, and the greater community.

A wish serves as a catalyst for renewed strength and encouragement for every child and family on their journey. Most importantly, wishes can improve a child's quality of life. Since 1983 Make-A-Wish New Jersey has granted more than 10,000 wishes to children in every municipality in the Garden State. Last year alone, we granted 560 wishes including Bennett's wish to go on an African Safari, Logan's wish to have a handicap accessible tree house, or Chase's wish to meet Bruno Mars.

It was a good turn out, directions given to the volunteers were very clear. The task provided to volunteer workers was in fact easy, and the members of the organization were very friendly. We came expecting to be there until 2p.m, but everything went so smoothly, that we were done earlier than expected. I would recommend this organization to a friend or colleague.
