Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Colorado Progressive Coalition was formed in 1996 by community activists and leaders who were fed up with the increasing power of right-wing corporate, religious, and political forces in Colorado . We work to amplify the voices of those who are not heard and build power for those who do not currently have it.
Since 1996, CPC has grown into a statewide, multi-issue, and multiracial coalition of 5,000 community members in 80 Colorado towns and cities and 40 civil rights, labor, faith, and community organizational members representing 250,000 people across the state.
United by a shared commitment to social, racial, economic, and environmental justice, CPC builds coalitions, conducts research, organizes communities, registers and inspires voters, develops new leaders, builds strategic policy campaigns, and works with elected leaders to win victories for all Coloradans, particularly those who are low- or middle-income, people of color, immigrants or refugees, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, or young people.
CPC is locally and nationally recognized for its innovative, ambitious, and effective work to build a more progressive future and our work is organized into five major program areas: Racial Justice and Civil Rights; Health Care for All; Colorado Tax Fairness Project; Voter Power; and Southern Colorado. Our community organizing and coalition building helps us to win policy changes that improve the daily lives of our members and communities. These community driven victories for social change build a stronger political presence that impacts future efforts for deeper, systemic change.
