I had a very strange interaction with this organization and want to give others a heads up. I own a bakery but am retired from day-to-day operations, and like to volunteer as a graphic designer for non-profits as a way to give back and to fill my days. I contacted them to offer to volunteer, submitted my qualifications, then was rejected. I understand that not every volunteer is a good match, but the reasoning was this, and this is an exact quote: “ Thank you for offering to volunteer for our org. However I feel that since u own a bakery perhaps it would be better for u to concentrate on increasing your business. good luck!” I was surprised, and a bit offended!

I really enjoyed being able to volunteer with the Ganga Library. The work is rewarding and my resarch was something to be proud of. I was initially drawn to the Ganga Library because it was easy to volunteer around my hectic schedule, but the work was enjoyable too!

Volunteering with the Ganga Library was very fulfilling. I was able to contribute to their knowledge base within my own schedule and on my own time. Hours were very flexible. I had a lot of freedom with my technical and creative writing, and learned a lot about important contributors to our society.

This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who likes to learn, do research and write and you can do it from your home. Basically you research former Nobel Prize winners (I did 1905 and 1906) and write their biography. I really enjoyed this volunteer opportunity and the people there are kind and easy to work with.

Ganga library was very prompt in setting up my volunteer work. It was a really great experience and I got to learn so much about Nobel laureates that have left a big impact on today’s society! Ganga library was really responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to complete community service hours for court ordered hours or for personal reasons.

This is a very cool and different volunteer opportunity that I thoroughly enjoyed!! I found it very interesting to research and read up on Nobel Prize winners from years past. It was a glimpse into who and what was on the cutting edge of science, medicine, and literature. I would highly recommend this volunteer opportunity to anyone who enjoys research and learning.

I have many friends and graduates who might find it helpful to do the voluntary work so that they do not lose their touch on learnt materials if they do not use it from time to time

Volunteering as a visual artist for Ganga Library has been fulfilling, and given meaning for my art. I've created pieces that I would have never made without it. I believe that the organization is an important resource to others, as I've found inspiration in the Nobel Laureates' biographies for myself. Whenever I get the chance, I love to talk about the site and the work I do! It's been the perfect volunteer match for me, between my love for the sciences and art. Dr. Nagaveni has been incredibly supportive, especially when I can't do work because I'm busy with classes or being sick. It's very motivating, and I aim to always do better because of the mutual compassion. Even without face-to-face interactions, I feel like I'm doing something worthwhile, like I'm helping in some way; that's why I continue to volunteer for her and her organization.

Volunteering for the Ganga Library is a very interesting and meaningful experience. Doing research for the Ganga Library has increased my knowledge and appreciation of all that the esteemed nobel laureates have accomplished and contributed to our world. A truly enlightening, informative and rewarding experience.

Working as a graphic artist for Ganga Library taught me how to collaborate with other people remotely. I also learned the value of listening to the needs of Nagaveni, the executive director of the organization, and translating her needs into designs that align with the organization's branding and identity. My experience working for this nonprofit has been very fulfilling given that I know that I am contributing to inspiring others to emulate the many Nobelists featured on Ganga Library's website. I highly recommend the organization to aspiring volunteers. They will surely have a fun and easy time collaborating with Nagaveni.

When volunteering, I think we are looking for an organization that enables us to share and support causes really close to our heart. To me, education is a great place to start in order to inspire and help people around the Globe , an effective way to improve their lives and pursue their goals. Ganga Library is very passionated about this, working on provide material translated in different Languages, inspired by Laureates and building a Library that allows scientists, teachers, students, and curious minds worldwide to access this valuable information. I see Ganga a place where multilingual, multiculture diversity is really welcome, since it is based on the recognition of leaders in everyfield , everywhere. Highly recommended for virtual work, also.

Ganga Library is a relatively new non-profit organization looking to educate and empower people to make a difference in the world. Their extensive online library is a free and collaborative outlet for Nobel Prize material. I initially volunteered for this organization as a social media strategist, but today I also help with fundraising and volunteer management. This small organization needs your help! I highly recommend reaching out and lending your time to their cause.
