Description

The Community Foundation of Brazoria County (CFBC) connects people who care with causes that matter. Like its 650+ national counterparts, CFBC is a fully tax-exempt public charity formed to serve a wide range of donors concerned about quality-of-life issues, locally and nationally.

The Community Foundation is a collection of funds established by individuals, families, corporations, and non-profit agencies to enhance the well-being of our community. These funds are pooled and professionally invested. Donors may recommend grants from their funds to benefit the causes and organizations they care about most. Since its inception in 1994, CFBC has facilitated giving over $2.3 million dollars in board-approved, donor advised grants.

Encouraging and fostering philanthropy has been at the heart of the Community Foundation of Brazoria County from its beginning. CFBC believes that being a philanthropist is about more than just donating money. We have always been committed to the idea that philanthropy is about giving "time, talent, and treasure." It is our privilege to recognize and honor philanthropists all over Brazoria County.
