We believe professionally managed Hospice care provides our patient with a comfortable, dignified and supportive experience. Utilizing continuity of care allows for an earlier hospital discharge and provides the patient an opportunity to live the rest of their life the way they choose .... at home with family and friends.
We believe in the basic right of all patients to competent nursing care. Much can be accomplished medically, physically, psychologically and socially to enable patients to lead a more comfortable and functional life. A hospice care plan is designed for each patient utilizing insight from the family, our nurses, hospice team and in conference with the physician.
River City Hospice provides loving care to patients and their families. We understand that a terminal illness presents many challenges including physical, emotional, spiritual and social. Our caring, experienced team of professionals and volunteers are prepared to meet these challenges.
We embrace the opportunity to provide our services, regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability or illness. Everyone should have the opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends, and be pain free during their most difficult time of life.
River City Hospice treats the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the patient and their family.
River City Hospice provides palliative services in the patient's home, wherever home may be. We extend our services into Assisted Living Facilities, Nursing Facilities and Residential Care homes as well as the patient's private home.
River City Hospice will coordinate the care and treatment of the patient by providing nursing services, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and medical equipment necessary to meet the needs of the patient's terminal illness as ordered by the physician.
River City Hospice is focused on managing the illness to ensure the patient is comfortable. This is accomplished by working closely with the family members and caregivers to ensure they have the resources and essential knowledge to meet the patient’s needs. We are available for you .... helping you to help the patient.
- Our philosophy and culture are built around highly experienced hospice professionals, who are experts in pain management and in providing support and counseling for patients and families.
- We recognize that a person is more than a physical body and we provide skilled professionals and volunteers to assist with not only the physical needs, but emotional and spiritual needs as well. We also recognize the family unit, and support is offered to family caregivers that include education and counseling.
We believe that each patient's life experience is unique - many of the problems, coping strategies and emotions are not. Our specialized experience can help patients and their families accept the life limiting illness, and effectively address the frustrations and seek personal motivation, peace and comfort.
