The mission of the YWCA is to help women, children, and families break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness and achieve self sufficient, healthy lives. As a leader in providing client-centered programs for women and families, the YWCA offers comprehensive social services and resources for women and families of all races, ages, and socio-economic backgrounds. United by our common belief in mutual respect, integrity and professional excellence, we continue our legacy of cultivating community partnerships and responding to the changing needs of the people we serve.
The YWCA of San Diego County helps women, children, and families escaping domestic violence and homelessness overcome trauma, rebuild their lives, and achieve self-sufficiency. Through our Becky's House, Passages, and the Cortez Hill Family Center programs, we provide comprehensive services that include safe housing, counseling, legal assistance, employment support, financial literacy training, and supportive children’s programs to over 5,700 individuals annually in San Diego County.
