Delaware Horsemen’s Assistance Fund, Inc is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to providing benefits, aid, assistance, and relief to horsemen and their workers. We strive to keep healthy workers which in turn benefits everyone involved in the the horse racing industry, including the thoroughbreds.

Description

Delaware Horsemen’s Assistance Fund: Supporting the $360 million economic impact of Delaware Horse Racing are backstretch workers like grooms, stable hands, and hot walkers. Supporting them is the Delaware Horsemen’s Assistance Fund. We coordinate with other community partners to provide dental care, counseling, eye care, hardship assistance, medical expenses not covered by insurance, chaplain services, and more. Our Wellness Clinic is open to horsemen and their families to treat minor illnesses and injuries. And our collective efforts help during extenuating circumstances for those with loss of work due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen difficulties.
