Mission Statement

SCU Presents fosters opportunities on the Santa Clara University campus to teach students, engage audiences, and promote understanding through the performing arts

Created to facilitate artistic exchange between artists in the fields of dance, music, and theatre, SCU Presents encompasses programming from the Department of Theatre and Dance, the Department of Music, and the newly formed Justice and the Arts Initiative, as well as select Visting Artist Series programming. In addition to presenting the works of these university programs, SCU Presents serves an important role within the local community by offering affordable venues to Bay Area arts organizations and educators.

Description

SCU Presents at Santa Clara University is looking for volunteers ushers. Join our crew of volunteer ushers and see all of our performances for FREE!

It costs nothing but time to become a volunteer usher at scupresents! Ushering is a fun and easy way to get more involved with the arts and culture on the SCU campus and see what we're doing for free!

scupresents is proud to have a wonderful community of volunteers that works with us regularly each season. Our ushers come from all over the south bay and are a valued and important part of scupresents staff. In return for their services, ushers are seated just before the curtain rises to enjoy the performance. Every effort is made to maintain a roster of 2-6 ushers per performance (depending on venue).

All of scupresents ushers are volunteers. They are trained and supervised by a house manager. Familiarity with, and access to, a computer and email is required. Must be at least 18 years of age or be at least 14 years of age and volunteer with a parent or legal guardian.
