Mission Statement

With the 2006 Hurricane Season approaching June 1, FEMA is planning a very aggressive and comprehensive hurricane preparedness campaign in the State of Louisiana, as well as all Gulf Coast states. The Louisiana campaign will kick off Sunday, May 21, 2006. The campaign will include Family Preparedness Days, TV and radio campaigns, Public Service Announcements (PSAs), aggressive media campaigns in every parish, school programs for all grade levels, and Town Hall Meetings in Lake Charles and New Orleans.
