Description
We are a multi-cultural not-for-profit in Kennett Square, PA. Our roots in the community go back 40 years.
We are a health clinic that turns nobody away, operating on a sliding income scale. We are a community center where we help clients get in touch with various programs that help them take care of themselves and their families. We run ESL, GED, and Citizenship classes on a year round basis. We also offer a free legal clinic. We organize special volunteer-intensive events throughout the year, such as a Christmas toy drive, a flu clinic, and a large, yearly mega-event, Vive tu Vida (Get UP! Get Moving!), sponsored by the Hispanic Alliance for Hispanic Health.
A large part of our clients are immigrants of Hispanic origin, but our doors are open to anyone who needs our services. Spanish is a plus when volunteering with us, but by no means is it a requirement for all volunteer opportunities.
We are committed to providing an environment free of discrimination and unlawful harrassment
