Mission Statement
The Ironbound Community Corporation, founded in 1969, is a community-based organization rooted in and representative of the ethnically diverse Newark neighborhood called Ironbound. The Community Corporation, guided by the principle of justice and equality for all, works with neighborhood people to develop programs and services to meet the needs of the area and improve the quality of life for families, individuals, and the general community. Today, the Ironbound Community Corporation services more than 700 people on average daily

Healthy Mothers/Healthy: prenatal classes and Lamaze, WIC
Even Start Family Literacy Program: Literacy programs for children and families
Multi-Lingual Adult Education: Civics classes, ESL classes, extension of Essex County College
Environmental & Neighborhood Programs: Park programs, waterfront development, environmental education
