Mission Statement

We are a group of students in an event management course at San Francisco State University. Our semester group project is to organize a non-profit fundraising event. When we learned about the tragic accident of Paul David Clark we decided to build our event theme around safety, and celebrate Paul's life. Our efforts to raise monies will be for the Paul David Clark Bike Safety Fund. (Paul was a local San Franciscan who died in a road accident last April). This non-profit fund was created to honor him and others who have been killed or injured in cycling accidents. All proceeds have been earmarked for promoting bicycle safety awareness in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Description

In addition, we want to create an entertaining event for all our guests. This will be an event where the participants are having fun, while at the same time, learning about things which may enable them to save a life in the future. Roadmate 2006 will include a morning combination bicycle and automobile Fun Road Rally. At Noon there will be a showcase featuring autos and bicycles, plus live entertainment, raffles and prizes and fun for the whole family!
