Mission Statement
The mission of Patterson Park Audubon Center is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats for the benefit of Baltimore communities and the Earth's biological diversity.
Description
Patterson Park Audubon Center was established in 2002, in response to community demand for programming in PattersonPark, an urban park in the heart of a transitioning neighborhood with a large and diverse population. The creation of Patterson Park Audubon Center meets the national organization’s goal to engage a diversity of people in conservation activity, with an emphasis on underserved communities. Patterson Park Audubon Center now makes over 8,000 program contacts annually with Baltimore City residents through our in-school, after-school, and family environmental education, stewardship, and volunteer activities in Patterson Park.
