Mission Statement

I-GO is a not-for-profit organization and has operated car sharing services in Chicago since March 2002. I-GO is modeled after highly successful European car sharing organizations that have been operating for over 15 years. Car sharing is a proven transportation alternative in Europe and the U.S. It has already become popular in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, Washington D.C. and Portland.

I-GO was developed by the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT). For over 25 years, CNT has been inventing programs that achieve environmental goals and build sustainable communities. For more information, visit www.cnt.org.

Description

Chicago's Car Sharing Service. I-GO is a unique, new car sharing service that gives you an affordable alternative to owning a car. I-GO is a membership based not-for-profit organization. I-GO members have 24 hour access to cars conveniently located in reserved parking near their home or office. Individuals and businesses can reserve vehicles and pay only for the hours and miles they drive. Go where you want, when you want, just like owning a car!

I-GO is modeled after highly successful European car sharing organizations that were established over 15 years ago. Car sharing is now available in every major U.S. city, with over 30,000 members participating nationally.
