Mission Statement

We take in orphaned and injured BABY squirrels from the general public, we treat them and raise them to adulthood then release them back into the wild. We give wildlife a second chance at survival. Volunteers care for the baby squirrels in their own homes.

Description

We train volunteers to feed and care for the BABY squirrels we take in from the general public. You will be asked to join our organization to be covered by our rehabbing license with the Department of Fish and Game. Our annual dues are $25.00. Bottle feeding baby squirrels is a very rewarding and enjoyable experience.

I volunteered with WCA for 3 years on/off since 2007 and interned with them for 6 months. WCA was my favorite organization to volunteer for, and it was personally-fulfilling knowing we were all working towards a goal -- to rehabilitate wildlife and release them back to their natural environment. The work can be physically-demanding and stressful, but it's definitely personally-rewarding!
