Description
The Floyd County Medical Reserve Corps is a group of volunteers who want to help the people of Floyd County.
The Medical Reserve Corps is an entity of the Office of the United States Surgeon General operating in local communities throughout the USA. Although our name may indicate otherwise, a volunteer does not have to have a medical background to work with the Medical Reserve Corps. Our job is to assist in promoting the public health and overall well-being of the people of Floyd County, Indiana.
Our major focus is preparing for the emergency response and assistance that would be required after a community catastrophic event: from a tornado to a terrorist attack; but we do participate in other events as well.
