Description

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Born in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with 65 chapters in the United States and its territories. The local chapter - the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon - serves children ages 2 1/2 through 17 living throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Last year, the Oregon chapter granted 17 wishes to Lane County kids.

Would you recommend Make-A-Wish Foundation of Oregon?

by Robyn S. (July 19, 2010)
I have been a volunteer with Make-A-Wish for eight years. I cannot even express what it feels like to meet a Wish child and his/her family and grant of wish for him/her. I can only say it is a privilege and very fulfilling. And behind the scenes, the Make-A-Wish employees? are professional and gives the extra effort to make sure the experience for the Wish child, family and the volunteers is a fun, positive and magical experience.
