Mission Statement
Together, we grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish. It inspires us to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. Most of all, it's the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.
Description
Born in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world, with more than 50 chapters in the United States and its territories. Make-A-Wish Oregon serves children ages 2 1/2 through 17 living throughout Oregon and SW Washington where there are more than 300 kids waiting for a wish.
Through various volunteer roles, you can help support kids in your community and help make their wishes come true.
