Mission Statement

Star of Georgia Foundation (SOGAF) is committed to this mission. Providing support and improving the quality of life for underprivileged kids, widows, and children without permanent homes particularly in the Atlanta community.

Description

Star of Georgia Foundation, Inc. is a 501 c3 tax exempt entity providing volunteer support and assistance to individuals, families, civic groups, and other community based entities in South Fulton County.

Services Provided are:
"Volunteer support and assistance" is defined as, but not limited to:

Providing tutoring and mentoring to local elementary, middle, and high school students
Providing basic needs items, holiday gifts, emergency assistance, and other resources to needy families
Collecting school supplies for needy children
Providing home and lawn maintenance for home-bound seniors
Hosting college tours for high school students
Coordinating food drives in partnership with local food pantries
Provide volunteer teams for community-based agencies and schools
Providing emergency assistance through the payment of utility bills
Assisting students with college application fees, college testing fees, etc
