Mission Statement

We believe that a family's hope for tomorrow is in healing its children's hearts today. A broken heart is an open heart. When the heart is open, it's time to give and receive love. A caring community found in a peer support group provides that love and encourages children and families to have hope for tomorrow. Kids hurt too brings together community and family, strengthening both in a time of crisis. Through our services the heart and home are healed.

Description

We are Kids hurt too, a program for healing young hearts after parent death, divorce, or separation that leads to placement in foster care.

We create special places for peer support groups. Children, teens, and their care givers help each other learn to live with the life long grief that parent loss creates.

Education, training, and workshops are offered for a fee at various times throughout the year.

Crisis management is available at no charge to families and schools to assist with the initial crisis after homicide, suicide, accident, or disaster.
