Mission Statement

Cantabella Children’s Chorus mission is to develop music literacy, healthy vocal technique and choral artistry within children K-12 through excellence in music education, fine choral production and collaborative cultural arts experiences.

Description

Cantabella children's chorus was founded 21 years ago by Artistic Director Bee Chow. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2012 with a concert at the renowned Bankhead theatre in Livermore and a trip to Ohio for our first entry into the World Choir games where we won two silver medals!

Cantabella has now grown to over 200 members and draws from communtieis in Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin and San Ramon.

Cantabella will visit South Korea this summer (2013) with its honors choir (around 25 particpants) to sing in the World Vision choir festival there.

Employing only staff of the highest musical calibre Cantabella offers theory as well as choral tuition. We have two Concerts a year (December and May) and participate also in many community events and in showcase activites with other arts organizations such as Livermore valley opera.
