Mission Statement

Laguna Mountain Volunteer Association works closely with the U.S Forest Service to manage the land and assist visitors to the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area, just east of San Diego, California.

Description

Laguna Mountain Volunteer Association maintains trails and performs trail patrols by foot, horse and mountain bike in the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area. We also sponsor a number of interpretive programs and staff the Visitor Information Center atop Laguna Mountain. We work with campers on weekends and present campfire programs/weekend activities for forest visitors. LMVA actively recruits new volunteers and maintains an independent website to orient forest visitors and publicize upcoming LMVA volunteer opportunities and events.
