Mission Statement

St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP) strengthens our community by responding to the basic emergency needs of individuals and families in St. Louis Park.

Description

STEP works to respond to the emergency needs of our neighbors here in St. Louis Park. To fulfill this mission, STEP runs the local food shelf and provides other services in areas such as transportation, housing, clothing, information and referrals, and access to licensed Social Workers. These services would not be possible without the hundreds of dedicated volunteers and the generosity of donors that share their time and resources with STEP each year.

I know something about homelessness from the standpoint of working with clients during my career and I appreciate the mission statement of STEP and what I have heard about the agency.
