Mission Statement

Muses is a forward-thinking non-profit that seeks to build financial stability and social integration for low-income immigrants and refugees by translating their existing talents and passions into skills highly demanded
in the current U.S. job market.

In our conscious fashion studio we revive the fine art of creating high-quality, handcrafted and "made in Seattle" apparel. While promoting ethical fashion and responsible manufacturing, Muses fosters fair-paid job opportunities and training for Seattle-based immigrant and refugees.

Description

Muses provides an apparel production training program to Washington State based low-income immigrants and refugees interested in becoming apparel makers.

Services provided to our students:

  • Apparel production: 8 weeks training in apparel production and manufacturing services taught by industry experts
  • Support services: Job readiness training, professional portfolio, industry focus english classes, online bio etc
  • Employement advocay: Facilitate interactions and contract opportunities between Muses students and conscious fashion designers.
