Mission Statement

The mission of RACKCSS is to help Public K-12 Schools create a safe and supportive environment by encouraging schools to implement programs which build inclusive and respectful environments and reduce hostility toward differences. RACKCSS believes that this mission hinges on each school first implementing an "anti-bullying" program designed to create lasting systemic change in the school’s culture. A successful "anti-bullying" program will improve the school climate by reducing violence and harassment so that all kids feel safe and welcomed at school.

Description

The RACK Consortium for Safe Schools (RACKCSS, pronounced 'rackcess’) is a public benefit non-profit organization dedicated to improving the safety of K-12 public schools. RACKCSS is made up of private individuals, small businesses and large corporations who are taking a strong and bold stand against bullying and are dedicated to helping all schools establish an "anti- bullying" culture. The members of this Consortium have a long history of going the extra mile to support their communities in many different areas. Each year these members contribute both time and money to ensure that schools get the help they need to create safe and inclusive environments. Our kids and our teachers can both put forth their best efforts when the school environment is not riddled with the disruptions caused by bullying. RACKCSS is doing its part to ensure that both teachers and students are given the opportunity to be the best they can be.
