Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath & Law.

Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my Country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

Scout Law: A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.

Description

The Revolutionary Trails Council serves youth through two avenues: our traditional youth development programs of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturing; and our in-school program, Learning for Life. Both programs have significant opportunities for volunteer leadership, support and administration.

Our traditional programs use methods including: the outdoor program, the advancement program, the patrol method, the uniform, and positive role models to develop character, citizenship and personal fitness.

Our Learning for Life program offers grade-specific lesson plans to be used in the classroom to develop character, life skills and career awareness.
