Mission Statement

The Family Nurturing Center of Central New York, Inc. is a private not-for-profit agency providing family education programs and supportive services. Its mission if to promote the overall growth and well being of individuals, families and communities via programs, workshops and trainings designed to enhance personal development, relationships and family functioning through nurturing interactions.

Description

In January 1997, the Center opened the FamilyPlace, a free drop-in resource center for parents, other caregivers, and young children. The Family Place is designed for parents and their children to have fun together, spend time with other parents and children, learn new parenting skills and become more aware of community resources, to ensure that they are raising healthy and happy young children. The goal of the Family Place is to provide safe and nurturing environments and to prepare children for success in school.
