Description

Rippleffect's life-guides facilitate wilderness programs designed to awaken the inner spirit; igniting imagination and creativity while engaging the body and mind.

Environmental and experiential education are intentionally combined in a powerful manner creating a bridge between our facilitators and the youth particpants, breaking down traditional heirarchal barriers while easing the ability of teenagers to grasp sophisticated concepts. These concepts, foundational building blocks, such as teamwork, cooperation, communication, fortitude and patience are the oft absent but ever necessary tools required for the successful journey from adolescence to early adulthood.

From our ocean outpost; Cow Island, a 26acre magical respite three miles downbay from Portland, Maine we train youth in the fine arts of stewardship, leadership and fellowship. Recognising the importance of creating a life that embraces civic duty, enviromental awareness and a strong sense of community our life-guides endeavour to create a supportive context from which one can springboard-with direction and confidence- into their future.
