Mission Statement

The mission of the MWV Childrenâ s Museum is to nurture the natural curiosity of all children and the adults in their lives and to encourage shared discovery through exhibits and programs that inspire exploration.

Description

Fall 2005: The MWV Children' s Museum hosted Museum to You, a traveling, interactive childrenâ s museum at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, NH from October 6 - 30, 2005. The children' s museum exhibition attracted over 1,000 visitors in one month operation. This event was free and fun for the whole family!

Winter, 2006: Thanks to a partnership with Believe In Books Foundation, of the Polar Express events fame, many business and private sponsorships, and the generous donations in time and money of our many volunteers, a space in North Conway is being designed and constructed. Doors will open in 2006 at the site of Believe in Books, 2936 White Mountain Highway in North Conway, NH. The first exhibition of the Mount Washington Valley Children' s Museum will be a space designed especially for children under 5 and their caregivers, families. The museum will be open to the general public for an admission fee and will host family-friendly events year-round.

Much help is needed in the form of sponsorships, donations, exhibit construction, fundraising, marketing, publicity, legal/financial work. Our long-range goal is to operate a large museum space that appeals to children up to 12 years old and their caregivers. Call 356-5591 today for more information.
