Description
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is the nation's leading advocate for kidney patients and their families. The No. CA affiliate servesthe entire No. CA, north from San Luis Obispo north to the Oregon border and east, and includes 7 counties in Northern Nevada . Within this service area, there are nearly 1 million children and adults affected with some level of kidney disease. The NKF of NC serves tens of thousands of healthy individuals for kidney disease prevention; those who are at-risk of developing kidney disease for screening and early detection; patients already diagnosed with kidney disease for disease management; patients on dialysis or recovering from kidney transplant for support services; patient families and caregivers for resources; and medical professional for continuing professional education.
