Description

Ectodermal Dysplasias involve defects in the hair, teeth, nails, and sweat glands. Other body parts may be affected such as the skin, eyes, ears, and limbs. There are over 150 types of ectodermal dysplasias that are identified by the various combinations of physicals features an affected person has and the way in which they are inherited. Symptoms range from mild to severe. These disorders affect men, women, and children of all races and ethnic backgrounds.
