Mission

America's Freedom Festival is a nonprofit organization that produces approximately 25 events to accomplish its purpose: to celebrate, educate, honor, and strengthen.

Celebrate
The Stadium of Fire, Grand Parade, Children's Parade, Freedom Days (three days of food, entertainment, crafts, and carnival rides), Balloon Fest, Baby Contest, Carillon Concert, Freedom Run (10K and 5K run) and other sporting events admirably accomplish the goal of celebrating our freedoms and liberties.

Educate
The Hope of America Student Showcase, Essay Contest, Speech Contest, Patriotic Service, Flag Retirement Ceremony, Historic Provo Tours and Reception, and Fine Art Exhibit contribute greatly to educating all participants and spectators in the history, freedom, and joys of living in America.

Honor
Each year the Freedom Awards Gala honors individuals who have gone to extraordinary lengths to establish and preserve freedom in this country and abroad, and brings them to Provo so that we can all learn form their great examples and be uplifted by their heroism.

Strengthen
The final corner of America's Freedom Festival mission includes a strengthening of free enterprise. To this end, we're forming America's Free Enterprise Alliance--an emerging volunteer alliance of business, government and educational leaders dedicated to inspiring greatness in America's freedom-enabling institutions.

Description

America's Freedom Festival at Provo, Utah, is one of the premier patriotic celebrations in America. Its roots trace back to the 1870s, more than two decades before Utah became a state.

The current Festival organization is a private, non-profit, non-political foundation that plans and organizes annual celebrations and commemorative events that go beyond a one-day holiday. Today's Festival mounts over 25 annual events, starting in March, culminating in the Independence Day celebration and continuing throught the fall.

The purpose of the festival is to commemorate our Day of Independence and celebrate the spirit of America by creating festivities that instill a deeper sense of patriotism in the hearts of those involved. Local and state governments, generous sponsors, event chairs, and literally thousands of volunteers work together to organize events for men, women, and children of all ages.

America's Freedom Festival at Provo is recognized as one of America's biggest and best patriotic attractions, drawing in hundreds of thousands of spectators every year from all 50 states and other nations. It was named as one of North America's Top 100 Events by Destinations Magazine and the American Bus Association.
