Mission Statement

Rising Tide Capital, Inc. is a micro-enterprise development corporation that exists to promote community development through entrepreneurial activity by providing business training and consulting, and access to capital to low and moderate-income entrepreneurs.

Description

Rising Tide Capital is a 501-c-3 microenterprise development corporation founded in Jersey City two years ago. It provides business development services to low-to-moderate income entrepreneurs through basic business workshops, advanced workshops and one-on-one consulting. It measures its success by increase in household income and savings, personal debt reduction, and higher business profitability.

We take a hands on approach to our clients' businesses, equipping them with important business managment and planning tools. Our grassroots approach involves working in partnership with local non-profit organizations to increase our efficiency and depth of outreach by being available in an environment comfortable to our clients.

Our partnership with organizations such as Trickle Up (www.trickleup.org) and Greater Newark Business Development Consortium (www.GNBDC.org) allows us to meet our committment to providing access to capital in the form of one-time grants and micro-loans.

At Rising Tide Capital, we strongly believe small businesses are the anchors of stable communities.
