Mission Statement
We improve the health, educational and social outcomes for kids living in struggling communities through the power of service and sports.
Description
We are changing the game for kids who, without us, wouldn’t get to experience the thrill of being on team, the joy of overcoming a challenge or the many life lessons taught through sports with a great coach.
No experience is necessary. All you need is to want to make a difference in the lives of kids. Before you ever step foot on the field, we will guide you through a a dynamic 4-hour training. And throughout your season, we will provide you with webinars, curricula and Regional Program Coordinators to ensure your Coaching Corps experience is a great one.
Once you are trained, we will send you and a co-coach to one of our afterschool programs working to bring sports experiences to underserved girls and boys. We coach a wide array of sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball and even boxing!
We mostly serve during after school hours and sometimes during weekends for games and tournaments. We commit to at least one season for between 1-4 hours per week.
