Mission Statement The mission of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is to showcase the best independent, domestic and international films to Florida residents and visitors, to provide educational opportunities and recognition assisting in the development of Florida students and emerging filmmakers, and to promote Broward County screening and filming opportunities to the film industry. FLIFF is a 501 c Not For Profit Organization. Volunteers play an important role in the success of our operations.
Now in its 30th year, The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) screens films from around the globe all year. At least 40 countries will be represented at the 2015 Festival . Filmmakers and celebrities and movie fans will attend many of the screenings and events during the main Festival from Nov 6 through November 23, 2015. Parties and gatherings at the two Cinema Paradiso locations and other theaters, area "hot spots," on board yachts and at luxurious hotels, will provide audiences an opportunity to hob knob with film talent and other movie buffs.
FLIFF's year-round movie theaters, Cinema Paradiso Fort Lauderdale and Cinema Paradiso Hollywood (2008 Hollywood Boulevard) are South Florida's most unique movie houses presenting independent and foreign films, extreme sports films, anime, local films, specialty presentations, and High Definitation screening, as well as new releases. Both Cinema Paradiso theaters feature the most comfortable and plushest stadium seating in South Florida and both locations are available as rentals.
