Mission Statement The mission of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) is to showcase the best independent, domestic and international films to Florida residents and visitors, to provide educational opportunities and recognition assisting in the development of Florida students and emerging filmmakers, and to promote Broward County screening and filming opportunities to the film industry. FLIFF is a 501 c Not For Profit Organization. Volunteers play an important role in the success of our operations.
Now in its 32nd year, The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) screens films from around the globe all year. More than 35 countries will be represented at the 2017 Festival . Filmmakers and celebrities and movie fans will attend many of the screenings and events during the main Festival from Nov 3 through November 19, 2017. Parties and gatherings at four theater locations (Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Sunrise & Davie), area "hot spots," on board yachts and at luxurious hotels, will provide audiences an opportunity to hob knob with film talent and other movie buffs.
FLIFF's year-round movie theaters, Savor Cinema (503 SE 6 Street, Fort Lauderdale, formerly Cinema Paradiso Lauderdale) and Cinema Paradiso Hollywood (2008 Hollywood Boulevard) are South Florida's most unique movie houses presenting independent and foreign films & documentaries, extreme sports films, anime, local & Florida films, previews and first run films, with comfortable and the plushest stadium seating in South Florida. Both locations are available as rentals for various occasions, especially weddings. The Savor Cinema building was a church and has stained glass windows and a lovely outside tented courtyard that is perfect for receptions.
