Mission Statement

To provide emergency financial and other assistance of service members and wounded warriors.

Description

Since our inception, Operation Homefront (OH) has met the needs of more than 740,000 military families and personnel nationwide. OH was established in February 2002 to support the families of deployed service members immediately following the tragic events of 9/11. OH has evolved into a major national nonprofit with a mission to provide emergency financial and other supportive assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors across the nation. Much like the military, we have a "no man left behind" attitude when it comes to those who sacrifice so much for the freedoms we enjoy. OH provides help to military families who are faced with a critical financial emergency to stop their eviction, keep the lights and water on, keep the car running and more. We help families turn the curve and get over the hump.

Although addressing emergency needs are at the forefront of our work, we also recognize the emotional and mental toll of the uncertain dangers of having a loved one deployed. We provide morale programs that encourage and support these families physically, emotionally and psychologically. Many spouses of our deployed service men and women are here at home taking care of the home and most times children, which in most places is a lonely and scary place to be for them.
