Mission Statement

The Learning Center’s vision is simple--to provide a safe, interactive, and fun learning environment that will inspire all of our visitors, young and old, to develop a better understanding of the basic laws and freedoms that govern our citizens, states, and country.

We will accomplish this vision by:

  • providing open and free access to all who come through our doors;
  • providing excellent and accurate information that is approved by judges and aligned to state educational standards;
  • and providing a safe and fun space where imagination is sparked and the seeds of knowledge may flourish.

Description

The Colorado Judicial Learning Center is a 3,800 square foot museum experience with 30 exhibits designed to teach visitors about the Rule of Law. A committee of Justices, Judges, and court staff worked with designers, historians, and educators for three years to create this intergenerational, interpretive, and interactive space.

Free to the public, the Center is intended to be a popular destination for tourists, school groups, and local visitors of all ages. Docent volunteers provide visitors with a warm welcome, guide them in the use of the Center's many exhibits, and share their knowledge of the courts and Judicial Branch.

Qualified applicants receive specialized training before beginning their duties. No prior knowledge of the courts or legal system is required.
