As part of the Warren Village program, parents are required to attend Adult Enrichment classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:45:pm to 7:15pm. Volunteers help to support free on-site childcare so that parents may attend class knowing their children are in good hands. When: Monday & Wednesday Evenings, 5:45pm - 7:15 pm. Running every Monday and Wednesday evenings January through November. This opportunity does not take place the first week of every month . What: Volunteers provide care for children ages 6 months through 12 years old. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with different groups of children each time they volunteer. Evening childcare is a great volunteer opportunity for students, those with babysitting experience, people with childcare or education backgrounds, and anyone who loves working with children. Frequency: Flexible, but best if you can commit to at least one shift per month. All volunteers must complete a background check before signing up for their first volunteer shift. Afternoon Kids’ Club at Warren Village @ Ivy Crossing program Warren Village has been part of the Denver non-profit community for almost 50 years, assisting single-parent families toward achieving self-sufficiency. Our program at Ivy Crossing aligns with and expands upon this vision to include all of the residents at the Ivy Crossing complex, a 1000+ unit apartment complex. Kid's Club is part of the many services that we provide within this community, serving 24 kids ranging in age between 5 and 14 years old. When: Kid's Club runs from 2:30-4:30pm, Monday through Thursday during the summer months and 3:30-5:30pm during the school year. What: Volunteers will provide assistance with homework help and activities that include STEM projects on Wednesdays and guest speakers from other community organizations on a monthly basis. This is a great opportunity for an individual over 18 with experience working with youth in an educational or child care setting. Spanish language ability is a plus. Location: 2470 S Quebec St, Denver 80231 Frequency: There is flexibility in scheduling, but we do ask that you consider a consistent schedule. Our residential community and programs provide parents the tools they need to move from government assistance to personal and financial independence. As the the first program of its kind in the country, Warren Village provides an innovative mix of affordable housing, case management, on-site childcare, education and job training.
