Mission Statement

The mission of the Housing & Community Development (HCD) division is the development of quality neighborhoods within the City of Richmond by partnering with neighborhood residents and community groups, the division accomplishes this goal through:

  • Assisting homeless and disabled individuals in obtaining housing
  • Developing new affordable housing
  • Expanding economic opportunities in business and employment for low- and moderate-income residents
  • Improving existing housing conditions

Description

Our office works with residents and other stakeholders to provide either direct services or information in order to improve neighborhoods.
