Description

Welcome to Cartlanta!

RECYCLING AMBASSADOR PROGRAM:

The city of Atlanta recently launched CARTLANTA, a comprehensive recycling program to increase the number of residents who recycle at home and exponentially increase the number of tons of recycled waste across the entire city.

To supplement the distribution of the new recycling carts and education and community outreach efforts, a volunteer team of dedicated community residents will serve as ambassadors of the city’s recycling program and will provide invaluable support as we educate families and individuals living in areas with low recycling participation rates and tonnages. The Recycling Ambassadors will be empowered to educate and coach their larger communities in recycling.

The Recycling Ambassadors’ initiative will be to increase the number of residents who recycle and the number of tons of recycled waste in designated areas. We will target at least 6,500 households (10% of households with recycling carts) across the City with the goals of educating and impacting their attitudes and knowledge of recycling.
