Mission Statement

To promote finding a universal cure for Sickle Cell Disease and improve the quality of life for individuaks and families where conditions related to Sickle Cell Disease exist.

Description

To stimulate and develop awareness concerning sickle cell hemoglobinopathies, thereby promoting positive health attitudes concerning sickle cell testing, counseling and education.
To direct persons who are at risk for sickle cell disease to the proper screening and diagnostic center.
To provide specific counseling and education for persons found to have sickle cell trait, sickle cell anemia and/or related hemoglobinopathies.
To provide a common environment for the discussion of sickle cell problems, as they relate to family activity, education, social problems of the affected person and his family.
