Mission Statement

The St. Louis African Chorus ("African Chorus") was founded 1994 to foster a better understanding of Africa's culture through the musical arts.

Description

The organization is headquartered in St. Louis, MO, with independent branch offices in New York and New Orleans. It provides a unique service to individuals and groups in these metropolitan areas by presenting diverse genres of African music particularly traditional and contemporary choral music, but also classical (or serious) music for orchestra and chamber groups. African Chorus programming is sought by leading professional bodies nationally and internationally, including schools, community groups, choral societies, film and documentary companies, and more. Programs are offered to all people, regardless of age, race, ethnic, or religious background.
