Mission Statement
All Aboard Ohio is a non-profit, member-based organization dedicated to promoting passenger and freight rail service throughout the state.
We regard railroads as vital to the economic health of Ohio because they can move passengers and goods efficiently and because they will offer people and businesses greater choice and connections when the state develops a more-balanced transportation system.
All Aboard Ohio seeks to preserve, expand and improve existing passenger rail services by educating the general public, interested groups, and federal, state and local officials. We believe it is appropriate to invest public dollars in private railroad infrastructure when it leads to public benefits such as job creation, economic development and passenger service.
We also support improvements to non-rail forms of transportation , which should be enhanced to improve safety and to better connect them with a passenger rail system.
Description
We are a nonprofit organization which advocates for the development of improved passenger rail service and public transit within Ohio and the region.
Our main focus is to see the development of the Ohio Hub Plan take place. Or more simply we are trying to develop high speed train service connecting all of Ohio major cities together.
We are also working on the development of commuter rail service for Northeast Ohio and the passage of the COTA ballot initiative in Central Ohio
