Mission Statement
RST/Domestic Relief Services exists to provide displaced victims from Hurricane Katrina with the resources, referrals, and guidance needed to build successful and self-sufficient lives in Texas.
Description
RST/Domestic Relief Services is a division of Refugee Services of North Texas (RST), which has successfully resettled more than 8,000 refugees over the last 20 years. Since Hurricane Katrina hit in September of 2005, Domestic Relief Services was established to function as a Social Ministry Organization, acting as an Advocacy Agency to displaced Katrina victims in the state of Texas. RST/Domestic Relief Services, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit agency affiliated with Church World Services (CWS), Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD), and Lutheran Disaster Relief (LDR), and as such, is part of a nine-member consortium that comprises Katrina Aid Today (www.katrinaaidtoday.org).
