Mission Statement

The National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis builds on a human relations legacy spanning three quarters of a century. The NCCJSTL is a human relations organization dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, racism, and all forms of oppression in St. Louis. NCCJSTL promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution and education. Our goal is to make the St. Louis metropolitan area a better place for all of us, not just some of us.

Description

NCCJSTL promotes inclusion and religious acceptance throughout communities in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois. NCCJSTL's mission is to battle bias wherever it occurs and to strengthen leaders' ability to build inclusion into the key institutions of our region. NCCJSTL's work and leadership reflect the breadth and depth of its mission and the growing diversity of the country and our metropolitan area.

We believe that to make a significant and lasting difference, we must inspire individuals to implement our mission at home, at work or school, and in the larger community. Our programs are designed to create human catalysts for positive change. Enclosed you will find a complete list of our programs, though our best known and most widely acclaimed are our Anytown Youth Leadership Institute and our Dismantling Racism Institute for Educators.
