HDS goals are based on the National Main Street Four Point Approach for Downtown Revitalization

• Organization Goal:

To increase unity and pride by developing a shared vision for downtown as the heart of the community through a well-funded, volunteer driven organization built on partnerships.

• Design Committee Goal:

To promote and assist in planning and coordinating physical improvements, signage, and redevelopment efforts for the downtown historic district.

• Promotion Goal:

To promote the historic downtown business district as a destination for visitors and residents, as well as our local business community.

• Economic Restructuring Goal:

To create a healthy economy by attracting complementary new businesses and activities, encouraging viable mixed-use development, and strengthening a pedestrian-friendly environment.
