Mission Statement

Horizon House, in partnership with individuals with disabilities and their families, advocates and
provides comprehensive, community-based rehabilitation services. We create opportunities for
those served to manage their lives through environments that emphasize individual strength and
choice.

Description

Horizon House was founded in 1952 as a support group for former mental hospital
patients who were released into the community.
 Today, with over 1,200 employees, Horizon House is a nationally recognized leader in
the field of psychiatric rehabilitation.
 We serve more than 4,500 individuals each year in Eastern Pennsylvania and the state of
Delaware.
 Our funding comes primarily from federal, state, and local government contracts.
