Mission Statement

To serve the needy in our community with a hot nutritious breakfast, a friendly smile, and a helping hand.

Description

The Breakfast Program serves hot nutritious meals to approximately 180 people three mornings a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 7:00 until 9:00 a.m.

Volunteers are asked to arrive as early as 5:00am to assist with preparation. If you cannot volunteer the entire time, we ask you come in anytime from 5:00 am to 9:30am. Please contact our volunteer coordinator Sherry Hsu (Please do not call between 10 PM to 8AM) to sign up to be a volunteer. Please do not just show up to the program.

We serve breakfast to low income individuals and their families. We are looking for well rounded individuals with a great attitude. We provide a restaurant quality type service so each individual has that extra attention that so many of them require. It is your job to make them feel at home at all times.

We do provide community service hours to high school students however this is a very important volunteer position so only serious individuals about helping the community may join us.

Volunteers and donations are greatly appreciated!

The commitment and the dedication of the volunteers here is amazing. The efficiency and skill with which every performs is surprising! Volunteering here is great fun, for one gets to learn a lot about serving with a smile while working very hard. The volunteers also pay a great attention to detail from wiping the surfaces along the grain to setting the table to clearing the tables to wiping the dishes. Would strongly recommend this program to anyone who like to improve their skills in communication, concentration or otherwise.
