Description

CONCERN is a community-based non-profit child welfare organization dedicated to meeting the needs of abused, neglected and delinquent children and youth. CONCERN began operation on January 1, 1978 and now has eleven offices throughout eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland. We have approximately 575 children in care agency-wide and have helped over 10,000 children since inception. Here, in the Southeast Regional office located in Fort Washington, we have approximately 75 children in foster care.

These children are often taken from their families and placed in foster care due to tragic reasons such as abuse, neglect, homelessness and domestic violence. Once the children are with us, CONCERN's staff and foster families work very hard to help them heal and grow up happy and safe, as children should.
