York Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to helping low-income families become owners of modest, affordable homes by committing to rehabilitate older homes or construct new homes to make the dream of homeownership a reality.

Description

The Youth United program mobilizes young people, ages 5-25, to fully fund and build a home/community garden with their local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

-Provides leadership roles and team-building opportunities for young people.

-Brings together youth from different organizations, faiths, age groups and backgrounds in meaningful volunteer roles.

-Provides opportunities for young people to volunteer alongside Habitat partner families.

-Engages young people in Habitat for Humanity's mission and in their local community.
